Course Description

The Assured Certificate in Bridle Fitting course is the Society's new qualification course for anyone wanting to become a Society of Master Saddlers Registered Qualified Bridle Fitter.  The course typically caters for learners who are new to the industry through a mixture of comprehensive online theory modules and in person practical modules, and leads to the City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Bridle Fitting including Measuring and Bitting (Qualified by The Society of Master Saddlers)(A11G-03).


Who is it for?

This course has been adapted to suit those already holding the City & Guilds Certificate in Bridle Fitting and Measuring (4751-23).

It is available to all those who:

    • paid for their City & Guilds Certificate in Bridle Measuring (4751-23) training and qualification; and
    • have maintained their membership since qualification.
    • Or for those who are current lecturers/assessors.

Course Duration

It is expected that you will complete this theory based course within 18 months.

CPD Points

15 points will be awarded upon the successful completion of Stages 1 & 2

15 points will be awarded upon the successful completion of Stage 3
